Established in 1974 by Tom Collins, and known as Collins Cabinets. Tom began making custom cabinets out of his woodshop. In the early 90’s, the home based cabinet shop caught fire. Tom chose to build right next door in Nelson, the building that now holds CM Woodworks. After Tom’s passing, his wife and daughter continued to run the business. In 2015, Chris Marsden, Contractor and Customer of Collins Cabinets purchased the business, and later changed the name to CM Woodworks.
Today CM Woodworks continues to make things we are proud of, that bring love & joy to our customers through our craftsmanship. We tackle complex jobs with creativity, motivation and 85 years of collective woodworking expertise. We are proud of our heritage and even more proud of our employees.
